📱 Installation Guide

📥 Download & Install

Step 1: Create Account

1. Visit goatmmo.com

2. Click "Register" or "Sign Up"

3. Fill in registration form

4. Verify email address

5. Account created!

Step 2: Download Client

1. Go to Downloads page

2. Click "Download GOATMMO Client"

3. Save installer to your computer

4. Wait for download to complete

File Size: ~3-5 GB

Step 3: Install Game

1. Run the installer (GOATMMO_Setup.exe)

2. Choose installation location

3. Accept terms and conditions

4. Click "Install"

5. Wait for installation to complete (5-15 minutes)

Default Location: C:\Program Files\GOATMMO\

Step 4: Run Patcher

1. Launch GOATMMO Patcher

2. Wait for updates to download

3. Patcher will update game files

4. Click "Start Game" when complete

Step 5: Login & Play

1. Enter your username

2. Enter your password

3. Click "Login"

4. Select character or create new

5. Start playing!

⚙️ Installation Options

Custom Installation Location

To change install location:

• Click "Browse" during installation

• Choose desired folder

• Ensure sufficient space available

• Continue installation

Recommended Locations:

• SSD for faster loading

• Drive with 10+ GB free space

• Easy to access folder

Full Install vs Lite Install

Full Install (Recommended):

• All files downloaded

• Best performance

• ~5 GB space

Lite Install (If available):

• Downloads files as needed

• Smaller initial download

• May have loading times

🔧 Post-Installation Setup

Graphics Configuration

On First Launch:

• Setup Wizard may appear

• Choose graphics quality

• Test settings

• Adjust as needed

Manual Configuration:

• Open game settings

• Graphics tab

• Adjust resolution, effects

• Apply and test

Shortcuts

Desktop Shortcut:

• Created automatically (usually)

• Double-click to launch patcher

Start Menu:

• Find in Windows Start Menu

• Pin to taskbar for easy access

⚠️ Common Installation Issues

Download Interrupted

Solution:

• Resume download if possible

• Re-download if corrupted

• Check internet connection

• Try different browser

Installation Failed

Solution:

• Run as Administrator

• Disable antivirus temporarily

• Check disk space

• Install to different location

Patcher Errors

Solution:

• Check firewall settings

• Run patcher as Administrator

• Delete and re-download patcher

• Check internet connection

DirectX Missing

Solution:

• Install DirectX 9.0c

• Download from Microsoft website

• Restart computer after install

🔄 Updating the Game

Automatic Updates

Patcher Updates:

• Run patcher before playing

• Updates download automatically

• May take several minutes

• Progress bar shows status

Manual Updates

If Auto-Update Fails:

1. Download manual patch from website

2. Extract to game folder

3. Overwrite existing files

4. Run patcher to verify

🗑️ Uninstallation

To Remove GOATMMO:

1. Windows Settings → Apps

2. Find GOATMMO in list

3. Click "Uninstall"

4. Confirm removal

5. Manually delete remaining files if needed

Clean Uninstall:

• Remove installation folder

• Delete saved data (if desired)

• Remove shortcuts

💾 Backup & Restore

Backup Settings

To Backup:

• Copy entire game folder

• Or backup specific files:

  • Screenshots folder

  • Configuration files

  • Character data (server-side usually)

Restore Settings

To Restore:

• Install fresh game client

• Copy backed-up files to new installation

• Launch game and verify
