Welcome to GOATMMO! This guide will walk you through everything you need to know to begin your adventure in Midgard.

📋 Prerequisites

Before you start playing, make sure you have:

• ✅ Downloaded and installed the GOATMMO client (Installation Guide)

• ✅ Created a GOATMMO account

• ✅ Basic understanding of your computer specs (PC Requirements)

• ✅ Stable internet connection

🎮 Creating Your Account

Step 1: Register

1. Visit the GOATMMO Official Website

2. Click on "Register" or "Sign Up"

3. Fill in your details:

   • Username (alphanumeric, 4-23 characters)

   • Password (strong password recommended)

   • Email address (for account recovery)

4. Verify your email address

5. Your account is ready!

Security Tips

• ✅ Use a unique, strong password

• ✅ Never share your account details

• ✅ Enable two-factor authentication if available

• ✅ Keep your email secure

🎯 First Login

Launching the Game

1. Open the GOATMMO game client

2. Enter your username and password

3. Click "Login"

4. Select a server (if multiple servers available)

Creating Your Character

Character Slots: You get 3 character slots per account

Character Creation Steps:

1. Click "Create Character"

2. Choose your character's appearance:

   • Hairstyle: Multiple styles available

   • Hair Color: Various colors to choose from

   • Gender: Male or Female

3. Enter your character name:

   • Must be unique

   • 4-23 characters

   • Alphanumeric only

4. Click "Create" to finalize

Naming Tips:

• Choose a memorable name

• Avoid offensive words (will be rejected)

• Consider your future job class

• Can't be changed later (choose wisely!)

Your First Steps

You start as a Novice in the Training Grounds or Prontera (depending on server settings).

Training Grounds Tutorial

If you spawn in Training Grounds:

1. Talk to NPCs - Learn basic controls

2. Complete Tutorial Quests - Earn starter items

3. Learn Game Mechanics - Movement, combat, skills

4. Collect Starter Items - Free equipment and consumables

After completing the tutorial, you'll be sent to your starting city (usually Prontera).

Beginner Quests in Prontera

1. Talk to the Kafra Employee

   • Learn about Kafra Services (Storage, Save Point, Teleport)

   • Free 2000z starter bonus

2. Visit the Novice Training Grounds

   • Prontera map (prontera) → Speak to Training Ground Guide

   • Complete basic tutorials

   • Earn starter equipment

3. Hunt Fabres & Porings

   • Located in fields south of Prontera

   • Practice combat

   • Collect basic items and exp

⚔️ Basic Combat

How to Fight Monsters

1. Target a monster - Left-click on it

2. Attack - Right-click or use attack skill

3. Monitor your HP/SP - Don't let HP reach zero!

4. Pick up loot - Items dropped by defeated monsters

Combat Tips for Beginners

• ✅ Start with weak monsters (Porings, Fabres, Lunatics)

• ✅ Always carry healing items (Red Potion, Apple)

• ✅ Sit to recover HP/SP faster (Insert key)

• ✅ Don't fight monsters much higher level than you

• ✅ Run away if HP is low!

📈 Leveling Your Character

Base Level vs Job Level

• Base Level: Overall character level (affects stats)

• Job Level: Class-specific level (affects skills)

Both increase through gaining Experience Points (EXP).

Stat Points Distribution

Each Base Level gives you Status Points to distribute:

• STR (Strength): Physical attack damage

• AGI (Agility): Attack speed, flee rate

• VIT (Vitality): HP, defense

• INT (Intelligence): SP, magic attack

• DEX (Dexterity): Hit rate, attack speed

• LUK (Luck): Critical rate, perfect dodge

Beginner Tip: Plan your stat build based on your future job class!

First Job Change

At Job Level 10 (Novice), you can change to a First Job class:

🛒 Essential NPCs

Kafra Corporation

• Storage: Store items (600z fee per use)

• Save Point: Set respawn location (free)

• Teleport: Quick travel to cities (varies)

• Cart Rental: For Merchants (800z)

Tool Dealer

• Buy consumables (potions, arrows, etc.)

• Sell unwanted items for Zeny

Weapon/Armor Dealer

• Buy basic equipment

• Upgrade your gear as you level

Job Changer

• Change from Novice to First Job (Job Level 10)

• Located in each job guild
